  • SLIM IN 2010-IT ISN'T JUST ABOUT OVEREATING!

Be Thin Within is a group dedicated to slimming down without dieting!

At present there are 46 of us in the group. Some  don’t have alot of weight to lose, some are morbidly obese, and alot are somewhere in the middle. Regardless, we’ve all tried and failed countless times with what they call “diets”.

Of course it’s well documented that diets don’t work.  But we see all these great ads on TV, especially this time of year, and it’s hard to resist trying once more.

I definitely “get” that impulse to sign up for yet another program.Over the years I probably invested around $10,000+ on various plans, doctors, exercise programs, etc. But nothing worked. I just put on more weight, and felt terrible about myself. I could accomplish so many things, but my dress size was going up up up.

But after getting  involved in the study of the human energy field I realized there was alot more involved than just cutting back on food. We actually make an unconscious decision to insulate our body with a protective layer of fat. What causes us to make a stupid decision like that is some form of stress.

So our approach is to manage stress, whatever the form, on an energetic level. We do this remotely with a form of quantum biofeedback.

The stress can come from many sources. For example, there’s alot of stress from toxicity in our modern day diet. Because the  liver, our filter, doesn’t know what to do with some of the chemicals in our processed foods,  to protect us it stores them in our fat.

It’s doing the right thing. If the toxins in our food were released immediately into our bloodstream we’d be dead. So we should be thankful for that fat warehouse . Unfortunately, though, the fat is yet another stressor. That warehouse can get pretty out of control.

In reality, the stressors that could cause weight problems are countless. For example, a person could have a stressed endocrine system, our hormones could be stressed, there might be stress from a candida problem or food allergy, etc. There might be some issues that appear to be genetic. ( It doesn’t have to be that way, though)

But often our stressors are emotional. For example, alot of people put on weight to protect themselves from further relationships. Their heart has been broken too many times, so they make themselves as unattractive as possible.

Too much fat insulation definitely does work to keep most members of the opposite sex away. I can give a personal testimony. :)

Problem is, you’re just exchanging one set of problems for another.

Bottom line, if you can’t change the unconscious decision you made to insulate your body, nothing is going to change with a “diet” , other than you might get  fatter .

I hope you follow along to see what a quantum stress management approach can accomplish before you invest more $$ in whatever diet plan you may be looking at for 2010!

    INTERESTING ARTICLE ON CANCER

Much of what we do towards achieving our ideal size and shape, whether it be changing our diet, managing stress with biofeedback,  detoxing, etc, has a major aspect on our overall health.

So, as we continue to talk about the quality of our nutrition, and the significance of avoiding processed foods, thought I’d post this informative article on cancer. It gives alot to think about and also recommends some excellent books.

    DEAR INVENTOR OF SOFT DRINKS,

Great new promotion on the radio for one of our most popular soft drinks! Love the way the ad reminds us several times in 30 seconds that it is available for .99, which is less than a dollar! I think we may have damaged so many neurons over the years that we were vague on what  dollars and cents means.

But, dear inventor, what is the true cost of drinking this stuff?  It doesn’t look like .99 will cover it, because its linked to so many health problems.   It’s loaded with sugar, and chemicals like  phosphoric acid.  Studies indicate the diet stuff is even worse.

My daughter wouldn’t give up her soft drinks until I took her for live blood cell analysis. When she saw what happens to her body on a blood cell level after drinking a soft drink she quit cold turkey. (Was angry, though. At me. )  The person who did the test said drinking carbonated beverates is even worse for the body than smoking!  It may also be just as addictive.

Could it be time to eliminate all artificially flavored carbonated beverates ?

    PLEASE PASS THE POISON…PART II

With all the holiday parties I had this crazy idea that it might be interesting to post information on some foods we should avoid.

After a few days of reading and double-checking, I wondered if we were just supposed to live on distilled water. Turns out there’s plenty of good stuff for us to eat, but the information on what’s really in our processed food was overwhelming.

It may not be difficult to stay away from milk or other dairy products, but this series on MSG blew me away. Sure I knew its harmful effects, or so I thought. But not really. I still hadn’t totally eliminated it from my diet. It’s in everything.

Some years ago I got a chance to speak to John Erb, the man who first blew the whistle in a big way with his book  The Slow Poisoning of America. I called him because I wanted to help him market his book. But he told me that when he published it his world had fallen apart. He lost his job, the IRS took everything he owned, and he was literally living out of his car. That didn’t much appeal to me, so I backed away.

What John Erb had done is anger big pharma.  MSG is big money, because it makes us eat more- so of course is highly profitable for the food industry, which is actually the tobacco industry. (Did you know that?) Then of course big pharma makes plenty from the drugs we have to take for the wide variety of food-induced health problems .

However, John Erb was  was brave enough to “get the ball rolling”. And no, things still aren’t much better for him. But now there’s plenty of information out there about the dangers of MSG. The 4 part series on MSG is well worth your time . This isn’t new information. But watching it may give you renewed inspiration to eliminate MSG from your diet.

The information is making a difference. For example, Campbell’s now has a line of soups with no MSG.

Bottom line: we do not understand the impact of MSG. It is linked to permanent impairment of the brain (and it’s in our baby food), cancer and heart disease (they call it cancer fertilizer), and so much more. It may subtract years from your life.

So, Happy Holidays- but let’s do our best to make sure that future holidays are happy also by eating the foods that will  help maintain one of the most important gifts anyone can have- good health.

    But let’s start tomorrow. :)
