  • CHANGE YOUR SELF-TALK, CHANGE YOUR LIFE

If someone walked up to you and said ” You’re way too fat!”  you’d be furious and devastated. Yet how many of us make this statement to ourselves, over and over, on a daily basis? Every time we look in the mirror, or maybe every time we eat? Since we’ve talked like this to ourselves for so long, we may not even consciously realize we’re doing it.
(I started this kind of self-talk when, at 5’0″, i hit 110 lb. I talked myself right up to almost 170 before realizing what I was doing. )

Of course the subject matter isn’t limited to size and shape- what are we saying to ourselves on a steady basis about our money flow? Relationships? Health?   Etc Etc.
What we say is what we create.

And complaining counts as self talk. Sometimes people don’t just complain, they even whine. And then they wonder why things just keep getting worse.

The more negative self-talk there is, the less likely that any self-improvement program will be successful. Our human systems are very similar to computers, and our thoughts do the programming. Repetitive thoughts are the same as typing commands right into the software.

In other words, your subconscious stores all of your self-talk in its memory for future reference. Not just for a short time, but forever. The more a particular thought is repeated, the stronger the program.

It’s not realistic to say we’re never going to have a negative thought, but with awareness we can literally say “cancel cancel” and stop downloading suggestions that aren’t in accord with the life we really want to create.

What you manifest in life is similar to a computer printout. If you want something different from the printout, you know you have to change what is typed in the computer. We’d look rather foolish erasing what we don’t like on a printout, and then reprinting, expecting to see the corrections. And yet we do that with our lives.

IS THE CONSUMPTION OF ANIMAL PRODUCTS STRESSFUL TO OUR SYSTEMS?

For the past 11 years I’ve done alot of work, energetically, to “turn back the clock”. After all, that’s a great part of what stress management is about.

At age 61  people tell me that I appear to be in better shape than when I was in my 40′s. There is no question that I have more energy and stamina.

That’s all well and good, but I finally had to acknowledge that in spite of all this I had been gradually experiencing more and more pain in my left hip, and also my neck, particularly on damp and cold days. On those days I would walk (and feel) like I was 100.

Turns out that it was arthritis. And the pain was becoming unbearable. It was scary, because it made me think about getting old.

Problem is, I don’t believe the aging process should be this way. Our cells are constantly regenerating. Even Hippocrates said we all have a doctor within us, and that nutrition is a vital force in allowing this “doctor” to do its magic.

So,  I started reading up on some natural dietary solutions.

Interestingly enough, there’s alot of information out there on animal protein and many share the opinion that if it were omitted from the diet arthritis pain could be relieved or even eliminated.

I’ve always been a huge meat eater, but decided to give it a try. Amazingly, it wasn’t that difficult , and guess what- the pain is actually gone. However when I shared the decision not to eat meat for a while with others the most common reply was “You must have seen Food Inc”.

I hadn’t.  So, just finished watching it on youtube.com

Pretty interesting stuff- if you haven’t seen it, and would like to,    CLICK HERE

    THYROID STRESS-GLUTEN INTOLERANCE CONNECTION?

This week the group’s analysis indicated alot of thyroid stress! This is significant because the thyroid is our “master switch”. If your thyroid shuts down the rest of the organs may follow. For sure thyroid stress is related to weight issues.

Some experts say thyroid problems could be related to chemicals in our environment, particularly fluoride and chlorine.I once read that every time a person brushes their teeth with a fluoride toothpaste, their thyroid shuts down for 6 hours!  However there’s also a link to gluten intolerance, which I didn’t know till I did some online searching

    check it out- CLICK HERE
