  • ANYTHING TO MAKE A BUCK

Have been enjoying smoothies for breakfast but realized the fruit is too much for me- my appetite goes crazy the rest of the day.  That’s because fructose, even the natural in fruit, can make some peoples’ pancreas (like mine) produce too much insulin.

Too much insulin makes the body think it’s in a famine. As a result your appetite can go out of control. Then  more of what you eat is stored in the fat layer to protect against the “coming famine”.

It seems I need protein first thing every morning, then maybe a smoothie later with more vegetables than fruits. I need to limit myself to  just one fruit a day. Many of you could be trying to slim down by eating more fruit, and having a similar experience, so that’s why I’m sharing this info.

So, I was looking into some healthy proteins, particularly soy, to start the day with. What I learned is that many of the so-called “natural” soy products are bathed in something called HEXANE.

This seems to be a great  joke played on those who are trying to find healthy alternatives to meat.

I’m not laughing, though. You might not think it’s too funny either, once you learn about hexane. CLICK HERE

Soy is a great food, when it’s processed without hexane. Problem is, manufactuers seem to be willing to do anything and everything to our food if it widens their profit margin.

    Spread the word!

    PURPOSEFUL PROSPERITY

If you’re in the Tampa Bay area, below is flyer regarding a seminar you might enjoy. The presenter, Laura Lassiter, has been teaching energetics related to prosperity for over 30 years.

    _____________________________________________________________

Did you know you can co-create prosperity on purpose? WHAT IF you could work on purpose with energy to bring to life what you desire? WHAT IF the ancient cultures knew about the deeper teachings that are the foundation for aligning the body with nature to effortlessly manifest?

As we are shifting to the higher dimensional energies, ancient truths are being re-discovered that are assisting us in “seeding” the New Earth. The focus now is on BEING in harmony and a unity consciousness. We can practice Purposeful Prosperity every moment of the day by remembering:

*The role the chakras have in manifesting

*Which chakra is the prosperity chakra

*Physical exercises that connect you with prosperity

*Prosperity colors and how to use them

*Cutting energy chords that have kept you attached to poverty

      *The energetics of prosperity

      *Money as energy

*Using a pendulum to clear negative energies blocking prosperity

*Using a pendulum to attract prosperity

Please wear comfortable clothing and if you have a pendulum, please bring it to class. This is an interactive class in which we will be practicing exercise techniques and movements to enhance our desires.

Everything is energy. It is only a matter of discovering the imbalances and using the proper techniques to re-align ourselves with Source Energy or The Divine Intelligence. Understanding the different qualities of energy and how they operate will allow a dramatic shift in your perspective and free you from any fear that you have carried with you in the past regarding prosperity.

BEST PRESCRIPTION: ONE SMOOTHIE AND SALAD A DAY

Still thinking about the idea that if we can drink one healthy smoothie and eat one organic salad each day, it may negate the effects of many environmental toxins that we CAN’T avoid, like chemicals in our foods, cell phone radiation, etc.

Figured it was worth a try so this morning had a smoothie- not bad. I find my energy is excellent. I initially was going to follow a recipe of 1/2 banana, 1/2 c strawberries, 1/2 c blueberries, 5 oz spinach, and water. However  when I saw how large the container of 5 oz spinach really is, I just didn’t want to put it in a smoothie.  Translation: YUK

Instead I pulled out a power shake mix I’d ordered a few months back and added the fruit. It tasted great! I’ll have the spinach as a salad for lunch.

This shake is the most nutritious I’ve run across.  But it’s green, and I don’t like to drink green things, so I’d been letting it sit. However the blueberries make it a lovely purple, and that I can do!

So, if you’ve been looking for a healthy base for a smoothie, CLICK HERE

Type in “power shake” in the search box to the left and you will be taken to a spot with more information. This site also has the very best coconut oil I’ve ever run across, and a delicious cherry syrup that is a powerful source of vitamin C.

    LITTLE WHITE BUGS? NO THANKS!

If we could add one smoothie (fruit and nutritionals, no sugar!) and one organic leafy green salad to our diet each day, that might counterbalance the processed foods that we can’t seem to avoid.

That brings up a point, though, because if fruits/vegetables are ”real” they have insects. Strawberries, for example, have little white bugs that are almost impossible to see.

Here’s a great site that shows how to wash fruits and vegetables so these insects are rinsed away! CLICK HERE

    THE FORGOTTEN SUGAR

Great interview on Mercola.com about fructose. It’s lengthy, but well worth the time it takes to listen.

Some of the highlights- first, most of us don’t understand the difference between fructose and glucose. Basically, fructose is metabolized through different pathways. One thing it does is cause changes to blood vessels in the kidneys, causing uric acid production to be increased.

This increased uric acid production is apparently what sets off a chain reaction which includes high blood pressure, obesity, diabetes, syndrome X, the list is lengthy.

The researcher interviewed has written a book, The Sugar Fix, that can explain all this alot better than I can.

He suggests we could have a sugar tax, so that we could spend more $ researching this. Also, he says there should be a label on fructose products stating “excess amount can cause obesity, high blood pressure, diabetes…”

Fructose is what’s in high fructose corn syrup but it’s also 50% of our table sugar. It’s in fruit of course but when you eat a piece of fruit it has vitamins and minerals that balance the fructose out. Unfortunately, though, thanks to places like Montsanto the fruits we consume now are mostly mutants. So, watch the fruit consumption as well (his advice)

The more sugar/fructose you eat, the more sensitive you are to it. Also, the older you get, the more sensitive you become. He suggests going off sugar products  for at least 2 weeks to begin to get this under control. That means going off processed foods as, once you start reading labels, you’ll see just about everything has fructose in some form, from bread on down the line.

Bottom line, he says that the #1 food we need to look out for is fructose. But guess what #2 is…Beer!!!  Think about beer belly syndrome- Wine’s ok, though, it doesn’t activate the same pathways. :)

Just wanted to share the highlights, but hope you have time to listen to this amazing interview!
