Wanted to share this- was looking at a site with great information, www.maketimeforwellness.com . Among other things, they have a recipie for a broth that helps with food cravings. Just got back from purchasing the ingredients and am about to make some, but wanted to also post the recipe:
1 cup zucchini, 1/2 cup brocolli, 1/2 cup string beans, 1 T parsley, 1 mdium carrot, 1 medium potato, 1 stalk celery, 1 beet, garlic, onion, kelp to taste.
Add the above to 4 cups boiling water and simmer for 20 minutes. Discard vegetables and drink broth between meals or whenever cravings hit.
So often we eat because we are depleted nutritionally. Apparently this broth is rich in potassium, which satisfies our body and therefore curbs the appetite.
