Today, I had an amazing experience.

On my way home from the horse feed store this morning a police officer pulled me over. I am in the habit of wearing my seatbelt but I guess I was in a hurry and putting it on had slipped my mind.

You guessed it, that is exactly why the officer had ushered me to the side of the road. Now this female police officer was not in a good mood. I don’t think she had her morning coffee yet or maybe she had been up all night doing the night shift. Either way let us just say she was agressive and did not appear to be very forgiving at all.

She then informed me of my infraction telling me that the state of Florida had just changed the law, and not only was the fine now $101.00 but the points on my driving record would be equal to that of running a red light.

Sheesh, this is the last thing that I needed and it wasn’t just about the $101.00 fine. The points on the driving record would increase my auto insurance premium for five long hellish years!

The police officer took my license, insurance, and registration and departed to her squad car to write me a ticket. She got half way to her car and then all of a sudden she turned and made a complete about face. Then she came up to my window and with a smile asked me if I would like a warning today! I was stunned.

I was even further amazed when I got home and called you and found out that you had just been working energetically on our group. I know for sure now that the SCIO is making a difference.
