Low-grade inflammation is a core reason for obesity. But what is inflammation? Well, when a cell is injured in any way- through a poor diet, allergies, actual physical trauma- even inflamed thinking, like anger or depression- it swells and also produces a number of chemicals for protection.Â
These chemicals activate fat cells, interfere with insulin signaling,  and even enter the brain!
It’s important to develop an awareness about what happens with inflammation because body-wide inflammation is present in people with excess weight. That’s definitely not good, as inflammation is a common denominator in many diseases.
Was going to post a list of anti-inflammatory foods, but  realized it’s not all that difficult to figure out. It’s the stuff that we probably don’t like all that much, like fruits, vegetables, salmon, healthy oils, salads, etc.Â
Inflammatory foods are, well, they’re our favorites. We’re addicted to them, even though they can act like poison in our body. Sugar, junk foods, fast foods, sodas, processed meats, sausage, hot dogs <sigh> are all highly inflammatory.
So, maybe it’s time to mention swishing. Some people call it oil pulling. It isn’t as bad as it sounds, in fact it’s easy. It might start to pull some accumulated poisons out of your system. Often, once the stress of toxicity is lessened, the body begins to crave healthier foods. The junk can even become revolting.
Are you willing to learn about this? You might even decide to live a little, and become a swisher!

Very fascinating information as many places suggest having a teaspoon of coconut oil a day. But after watching the video, it would mean that you are swallowing all the toxins you just pulled. Blech. So I’ll try adding the swishing now. Thanks Cathy.
