  • TAME YOUR MIND!

Just finished listening to a couple of CDs, “The Lotus Code”.  These CDs provide very simple information.  Still, they are profound.

Maybe that’s because even though we think we ”know what to do”, we still don’t seem to be creating the life we desire.

One of the reasons might be that our minds are jumping from thought to thought like a monkey jumps from tree to tree. In fact they call it “the monkey mind” in this set of CDs.

In the biofeedback scan, this is referred to as “self talk”.  Self talk can keep a person fat, broke, lonely, etc. That’s because what you think and say you eventually create. You know that already, right?

Just one example of “self talk” is  thinking about the future or past (going from tree to tree) instead of living in the present moment, where things really matter.

Bet you do this in one form or another- we all do, until we make a conscious decision to change.

Here’s some tips from the CDs on how to nip it in the bud:

First become aware of the thoughts that are doubtful and self-defeating. (We are so used to these thoughts that often we don’t even know there’s a different way of thinking.)

Second, evaluate their accuracy. Don’t believe every thought you have.

For example, many years ago when I weighed just 105 pounds I kept telling myself I was fat. It wasn’t true! But I said it so much that it did become a reality!

Third, talk back to your thoughts. Correct them. Say ” That isn’t true” or “This belief doesn’t serve my goals.’

When you start anything new, say like a new eating program, negative self-talk runs wild. When it sets in we want to give up.

If you can get control of this, you can take your life to the next level!

    HIDDEN EPIDEMIC

Each week in the group’s stress scan there are numerous markers for thyroid-related stress. Actually, there seems to be an epidemic of this form of stress, and being overweight is just one of the many serious side effects.

You can take a do-it-yourself test at home, and that might be the first step towards seeing if your thyroid could be part of the reason the weight isn’t falling off.

Many say “why can’t my doctor check my thyroid?” Well, there are degrees of thyroid stress. The blood tests given to detect thyroid problems apparently cannot detect this stress at the lower levels. For that reason the body could be seriously effected while the test result gives no indication of the real problem!

In other words, many could be suffering needlessly.

There are many environmental reasons for the thyroid being so “stressed”. Teflon, bromines, fluorides, lack of iodine-  we’re getting hit from many directions.  However knowledge is power. Things might be changed with  a few lifestyle changes.

    THIS WEEK’S SCAN

Here’s the info from the Be Thin Within’s weekly stress scan. (The scan is done remotely, using quantum biofeedback technology)

This group believes that the top reason people gain weight is STRESS. The stress comes in many forms.

Here’s just a small example-  we have the stress of cell phones. Did you know that there is evidence showing that cell phone use is connected to excess belly fat?

See, it isn’t those Krispy Kremes after all.

Seriously, there are countless forms of stress that throw us off balance. Weight gain may be about the body’s trying to manage these stressors by encasing the body in a  protective layer of fat.

So, the biofeedback sends energy to help manage all this.

Sound strange? Well, think about this. You are being affected by frequency all day every day. TV, computers, cell phones- the list is pretty long. You can’t see it or feel it, but there is evidence that it has a major negative effect on your overall health and well-being.

The biofeedback sends frequency in a similar fashion, but its purpose is to retrain the human energy field so that it can manage all this stress.

Our top concern this week is digestive stress, related to “food poisoning”. This probably is referring to food additives. The liver, our filter, doesn’t even know how to process these additives and automatically stores them in our fat. Obviously the more toxins, additives, etc, the more fat we need.

Top aggravation is “lack of awareness”.  That rings true. Most people don’t understand why they can’t lose weight. It really isn’t always about eating too much- it may be about all the stress in our world.

    Most stressed emotion is anger.

Just a note- did you know that for every minute that you feel anger you suppress your immune system for 4 hours?

Most stressed organs- lungs and thyroid.

Most stressed neurotransmitter is gaba. Gaba is related to emotional eating and also binge eating.

Suggested affirmations: “I relax and release tensions daily” and “My liver works perfectly”

Message: “The clinging to the past is causing a blockage”

The group also wanted to receive energy to help dissipate emotional blocks that compromise the ability to learn freely, and needed stress relief related to forgiveness, indifference, and disallowed anger in women.

Hope this helps with your “awareness” of what could be causing you to hold on to those extra pounds!

SPEND IT NOW OR SPEND IT LATER?

Last week for some reason I started swelling. My face looked puffy, belly got bigger, etc. The puzzle was that never have I taken better care of myself, having given up coffee, eating organic foods, adding spices,  even doing a little exercise.

The biofeedback kept saying “lymphatic stress” so on Tuesday I went for a lymphatic drainage massage. ( If you’re in the Tampa Bay Area and looking for an excellent lymphatic drainage therapist, I can recomment Radiant Hope at 813-966-2660)

Turned out my lymphatic system was “stuck”.

We get extremely toxic when our lymphatic system isn’t working to capacity. Not only is it related to weight gain,  it’s actually tied into every major system of the body, from the immune system on up.

In europe they get lymphatic drainage on a regular basis, and their rate of cancer is 70% less than in the states.

Here we just don’t seem to understand how important it is to stay on top of what’s going with this aspect of our health.

High stress can shut you down. In my case, I’ve been going through an IRS audit. I needed a little help- biofeedback is great, but I had to do more. Ever notice how people get sick after times of high stress- a divorce, job loss, etc?

A lymphatic drainage massage is about $70, but in between the therapist recommended I do castor oil packs, which supposedly get the lymphatic system going. I made a pack (it cost pennies) and have done it for the last 3 nights. The instructions online say use the pack for 3 days in a row and then skip 4 days.

Am going back Tuesday, will get checked out, and if the pack worked I’ll post information on how to make and then use a castor oil pack.

Just a thought- going back to the world of illusion- so often we think we can’t afford something like a massage or maybe supplements. So we won’t spend the money. Then we’ll end up flat on our back, unable to work, with medical costs that go through the roof. Worse case scenario might be that we never quite get back to par.

Might  it make more sense to spend a little money for preventative therapies and avoid all this?

    Does to me.

WHERE ARE YOU IN THIS PICTURE?

Are we so stressed with our daily living that we’re missing what’s right before our eyes?  A bill has been introduced in congress, the Dietary Safety Supplement Act of 2010 .  If it passes, your legal right to access vitamins and minerals will be a thing of the past.

Quantum physics says that everything is an illusion. I say that includes our belief that our elected officials have our best interests at heart, at least when it comes to our food supply. Asparteme, MSG, Fluoride, the list of chemicals in our food is endless, and yet now they want to block vitamins and minerals.

Did you know there was a study recently that found newborn babies have over 300 chemicals in their systems when they are born? No wonder we see such a rise in Attention Deficit Disorder, etc.

And we talked about depression this week. Did you know the fastest growing group of the population to suffer from depression is preschoolers?

Maybe this world of illusion is to blame. We re so caught up the monthly bills, what’s on TV, where to go to eat, etc, that we don’t see or even care about the true picture.

If you do care, here’s a petition you can sign regarding this bill.
